Dog Dancing Basics 101: Teach your dog to Circle Handler (video)

Welcome to Dog Dancing Basics 101, where the Border Collie and I demonstrate, and teach some of the basic moves of Dog Dancing. Circle Handler is a versatile trick that can be adapted as part of different moves!

Keep training sessions short to start off with, and don’t worry if your dog doesn’t get it right away, there is plenty of time for that! Consistent practice is important and short training sessions everyday will mean your pup will be circling you like a pro in no time!

  1. Thanks for the shout out. Great video again. You make it look so easy but I am sure you spend hours working on it. Give Miss Cynder a big ole treat from me. 🙂 Look forward to the next one.

  2. Cynder really enjoys her tricks. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. Do you use Shaping in your training? Cynder is beautiful. Luring is great, but mom challenges us with shaping. We’re looking forward to teaching the circle the handler trick, and are going to check out the rest of your website to get some ideas of what to teach for Freestyle =)

    • Hey!
We do use shaping as well as backchaining when training 🙂 I’ve only recently shifted to using a clicker so it’s been a learning curve for us all! 🙂
